2. How We Use Your Information

PlagScan AI uses a minimal set of cookies to make the site function correctly.

Essential cookies: These are required for core functionality (e.g., session management, security tokens). You cannot opt out of these without disabling the Service.

Analytics cookies: We may use anonymised analytics (such as Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled) to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate. No individual is tracked.

You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect the core functionality of the plagiarism checker.

4. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of third-party services to operate the site:

• AI processing provider: Text is sent to a third-party AI API for analysis. Our agreement with that provider requires them not to use submitted data for model training or any purpose beyond returning the API response.
• Hosting & CDN: Our infrastructure is hosted on providers that comply with standard data protection requirements (e.g., GDPR).
• Analytics: If enabled, anonymised analytics data is processed by a third party under a data processing agreement.

We do not embed social media trackers, advertising pixels, or third-party remarketing scripts on this site.

5. Your Rights

Because we do not collect personally identifiable information or store your submitted text, most data-subject rights are automatically satisfied — there is nothing to access, correct, or delete.

If you believe we hold data about you (for example, from a contact form submission), you have the right to:

6. Data Retention

Text submitted for plagiarism checking is not retained beyond the duration of the API request. Server logs may be retained for up to 30 days for security and performance monitoring purposes, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

7. Children’s Privacy

PlagScan AI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through this site, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of the page. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
